19. Then, follow your mates and immediately take cover when you are outside. Shoot a couple enemies ahead and follow your mates through the sugar field.

20. Hook up to the zipline and then sprint over the runway and enter the plane.
Now, shoot all upcoming enemies with the machine gun and aim for all vehicles along the way.

21. Finally, once your character jumps off the plane, run towards the marked weapon and shoot the enemy forces in front of the plane.

console types best for black ops

in my opinion the Xbox 360 is better on black ops for many reasons like Xbox gets the map packs 1 month before PS3 also more people play on the xbox 360 so there is more games to join . on the PS3 they have to wait a whole month after the Xbox to get the first stike map pack which has already come out for the Xbox but nobody knows why they did it on modern warfare 2. also i reccomend you buy a high GB console over 20 GB because the game saves are large, 1 GB each. :)

Zombie Map - "Ascension"

The Maps are extremely large, so click each link to view them at full screen:
Ascension is the third Zombie Map for Call of Duty: Black Ops.
The entire map will be in black and white until you turn on the power.
There are only two types of traps, fire traps and auto turrets. The fire traps are similar to the electric traps, but with fire - costs 1000 Points. The automatic turrets are back from Kino Der Toten which cost 1500 points.
The map contains "Lunar Landers" which allow you to fly off the map from one point on the map to the main starting point. After traveling back to the starting point, you must wait about 30 seconds for the lander to refuel. You can take the Lunar Lander from the starting position to one of the other locations, if you have called the lander to one of those locations. If you've called the lander to more than one location, it will fly to one of the three randomly. Each trip costs 250 points. If you stand underneath a Lunar Lander while it's landing, you will be downed instantly.
There are no Hell Hounds, instead there are Space Monkeys. It seems there are no creepy crawlers either. Space monkeys are a lot smaller and harder to hit. They will throw your grenades back at you if you try to throw one at them. Space Monkeys run to Perk-A-Cola machines to steal YOUR perks. If they're successful, you must rebuy your perks. They seem to come just like Hell Hounds. Once all are defeated, you will earn a Max Ammo. If you kill all monkeys before they steal any perks, you will earn Max Ammo and a random perk-a-cola.
The Pack-A-Punch Machine is also back. To gain access to it, you must use all three lunar landers. After using all three, go back to the power switch and press a button to the right of it. This will launch the rocket allowing you to enter the Pack-A-Punch Room.

Perk-A-Cola Machines

3 of the Perk-A-Cola Machines return, along with 2 new Perk-A-Cola Machines. You can only carry 4 perks at a time. Stamin Up allows you to run for longer distance. PhD Flopper prevents you from taking any fall damage or explosive/splash damage. If you dive off a high enough jump, you will cause an explosion that kills zombies in your blast radius.
Quick Revive
1500 Points / 500 Points on Solo
Quick Revive allows you to revive your downed teammates in half the time. When playing solo, you can buy revive without having to turn on the power. The perk will revive you if you are downed, and your weapon will turn into the mustang and sally. You can only buy it three times on solo.
Speed Cola
3000 Points
Speed Cola allows you to reload your weapon twice as fast.
Jugger-Nog
2500 Points
Jugger-Noh give you about four times more health.
PhD Flopper
2000 Points
PhD Flopper is a new perk that allows you to resist fall damage, resist your own explosive damage, and create a small explosion that can kill when you dive off a high point. The height has to be about the height of the character models.
Stamin-Up
2000 Points
Stamin-Up is a new perk that allows you to run for longer distances. Some say it allows you to run faster, but I don't believe that's true.

Power-Ups

All the older power ups return from the past zombie maps with the exception of Bonfire sale. A new power up is added along with the Space Monkeys.
Double Points
This award gives you double the points you would normally earn for 30 seconds.
Insta-Kill
Insta-Kill allows you to kill anything with one bullet or one melee attack. Lasts for 30 seconds.
Max Ammo
Max ammo gives you the maximum ammunition your gun can hold. If you are down you will only receive max ammo on the M1911.
Carpenter
Carpenter rebuilds all barriers on the map. You are also awarded 200 XP after all barriers are rebuilt.
Nuke / Tactical Bomb
The tactical bomb kills all zombies around you. The blast wave may take longer to reach the zombies further away from the bomb. No matter how many zombies there are, you are awarded 400 points.

Death Machine

The death machine gives one person the death machine mini gun. The Death Machine has infinite ammo for 30 seconds. You cannot revive anyone nor buy perk a colas while holding the gun.
Fire Sale
Fire Sale brings the mystery box to every mystery box location on the map. The mystery box will only cost 10 points instead of 950 for 30 seconds.
Perk-A-Cola
A random perk can be earned as a power up if you kill all Space Monkeys in Ascension without them taking any Perks or touching a Perk-A-Cola machine. The perks will be random for everyone if there are multiple players.

Achievements

The First Strike Map Pack adds 4 new achievements worth 150G
The Eagle has Landers (35G)
In Ascension, escape on all three lunar landers.
-There are three lunar landers in Ascension. You must turn on the power to use any of them. Click the terminal next to one of the landing pads to call the lander. Once the lander arrives at one of the three locations, you can buy a ride on it for 250 points. The lander will take you back to the starting position. You can also take the lunar lander from the starting position to one of the already used locations. It takes about 30 seconds to refuel after using it once. Use all three, not one lander three times, to unlock this achievement and the pack-a-punch room. You must launch the rocket first.
They are going THROUGH! (35G)
In Ascension, kill at least 5 zombies with 1 Gersch device.
-The Gersch Device is a new device in Zombies - AKA Black Hole Bomb. Obtainable only through the mystery box. Each mystery box use is 950 points. You will get three devices if you're lucky enough to get them. They take up the special grenade slot. Wait for enough zombies to come by, then throw it. All zombies in the vicinity will be sucked into the black hole. Get 5 zombies in it to unlock this achievement.
Space Race (45G)
In Ascension, Pack-a-Punch a weapon before round 8.
-This achievement can be done with a full team of 4. Use only the M1911, M14, and your knife all the way to round 8. Do not buy any perks and be careful with which doors you buy. Use the knife as much as possible. Let the zombies through the barriers to gain points for repairing. Hopefully you'll earn some double points too. Open the door from the second floor of the starting point, then open the gate which leads back to the main building. Open the doors up to the power. You must turn on the power to use the three lunar landers. You must use all three lunar landers to unlock the pack-a-punch room. Open up the doors that lead to the lunar landers only. Once all three lunar landers are used, launch the rocket by pressing a button next to the power switch. Open the gate next to the power switch to walk down stairs towards the newly opened pack-a-punch room. Stay inside with your team until you earn 5000 points. Upgrade your weapon, preferably the M1911, and grab it to unlock the achievement. If one person has unlocked the achievement, have them support the others until they earn 5000 points to upgrade a weapon.
Chimp on the Barbie (35G)
In Ascension, kill a space monkey with a fire trap.
-All the traps around Ascension that aren't auto turrets are fire traps. Wait for Space Monkeys to come by to unlock this achievement. Space monkeys come on after you turn on the power. You may need to buy a perk-a-cola. Buy Stamin-Up to get this achievement early on. They space monkeys will run towards whatever machine you bought your perk from. Stand near the Stamin-Up machine to wait for the monkeys. Next to the machine and AK74u is a fire trap. Activate it for 1000 points to kill any monkey that touches it instantly. The trap lasts for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, you must wait 90 seconds to use it again.

guide to "five" zombies black ops

There are many ways to play Zombies in Black Ops. There are many strategies, but this one is mine. Below is, what I believe to be is a simple, straight forward way to play Five for hours. I’ve gotten as high as level 27, although I’m betting that I can go even farther and you can too.
Read on for my approach to “Five” with a round by round analysis of where you should be and what you should be doing. Enjoy!
Generally on “Five”:
  • Turing on the power has no bearing on whether you’ll see the crawlers in the basement. They come whether the power is on or off.
  • In order to get to the pack a punch, you’ll need to turn on every switch until you get to Defcon 5. Then ANY portal will take you to the pack a punch after activation.
  • If two people enter any portal at or even near the same time, you may be downed, losing any perks you’ve purchased. Stay in communication with your teammates and call it out if you go into a portal.
Five strategy
When you begin, you’ll be in a conference room, with four doors with windows. Zombies can enter from all windowed doors here and will first break the glass and then come in. Additionally, there are two spots where zombies can break down the wall and enter into the hallway that is open to you when you begin. Of note, zombies usually only come from four of the six openings for the first two rounds.
After the round begins, all four teammates must break the glass with your melee attack and rebuild the wooden barriers to keep the zombies out. First, you’ll make a little money, and then after they take them down, you can rebuild them for even more cash.
Generally, for the first two rounds, I let the zombies in to get the perks and hope for a max ammo. By the end of the third round, it’s time to leave that area. The person with the most money opens the door. Buy the MPL there even if you already have purchased a M14 or Olympia shotgun and defend round four with the elevator to your back. You can even stay here until the end of round 5 if you want, but I generally like to hold a zombie at the end of round four and head down to the Command Center via the elevator.
Once that elevator door opens, that zombie that you were holding at a window, will be running free right toward you. Kill it and then all four of you run around that circle until you get to a window and defend it. There’s a MP5K and a PM63 submachine gun on the walls to buy, if needed. Stay there for one or two rounds. When you’re ready to leave, be sure to have about 2500 to 3000 to spend and one of you hold a zombie at a window. This is a recurring theme. Always be holding zombies at a window. It’s vital to getting around and getting needed weapons.
Next, Head down to the elevator to the basement. The Stakeout shotgun is next to the elevator and is an upgrade over the Olympia, if you want to buy it or are low on ammo. Once the elevator doors open, that zombie you were holding will have magically appeared in the basement and will be running free, but don’t kill it. One of you will need to get it to chase you around, while your teammates find the mystery box and open the room up with the box in it. There are only three rooms to open, all cost 1250 to open though, so spend wisely. Preferably, you’ll all get a shot at the box and you’ll have enough to open the room with the live pig in it, claymores, and two windows, which is my preferred defensive spot in the entire map.
Weapons that are available in the basement are the claymores, AK 74u, M16 and the Bowie Knife.
In this room, there’s two windows, ideal for holding zombies, while two teammates kill everything that comes in the door. The claymores are ideal for stopping overwhelming hordes and when you get a sale tag as a power up, the mystery box is right there to use.
Alternatively, if you don’t have enough money, you can stay in the elevator and defend that location. You can hold a zombie at the window and when things get too hot, you can hit the elevator door and go up a level, resetting the zombies and giving you a breather to revive teammates, if needed. This is the less desirable option, because it costs money you don’t want to spend at this point and if someone is downed in front of the elevator button, you won’t be able to turn the elevator on. It’s a glitch to be sure, but a fatal one, which is why I prefer the Claymore Room, at least until level 25.
Around rounds 7, 13, 17, 21 and 26  (approximately, as it varies sometimes), you’ll have a mini boss battle against a scientist looking guy. This “boss” will take your weapons, so you must kill him to get them back. The hard part is that he’s somewhat invisible until he takes your weapon and immediately after he reappears. Use these opportunities to lay into him and hopefully kill him and get your weapons back, along with a max ammo.
Other power ups, besides the normal nuke, max ammo, 2x and carpenter power ups to be aware of are the “Sale” ticket, which gives you access to ALL boxes for only 10 bucks. You’ll get three chances if you time it right, but seek out the other boxes if you can. The Death machine perk is also found in Five. It looks like bullets with a blue hue. You’ll get less cash, but you’ll lay waste to everything for a short time.
If you’ve managed to survive long enough, once you get past level 22 or so, you may want to be thinking about getting out of that room. Things get a lot harder and zombies pour into that room. If you all have ray guns, you should think about pack a punching it for double damage as it will no longer do one hit kills. Your best bet, especially if you get overrun, is to make your way to the elevator. By the later levels, you should have a ton of money, so spend it on taking the elevator up and down, killing zombies until you’re overwhelmed and then hitting the button to close the doors, giving you a breather. You can literally keep doing this forever, or until you die.
I’ve made it to 27 doing this. Can you?

How to blow up the rocket on Ascension

Ever wanted to know how to blow up the rocket on Ascension? NOW YOU CAN!!!!

Enjoy! :D

How to make a custom controller

Want to turn your boring plain controller....

Into this!

In just a few hours, this can easily be accomplished. Here is a list of what you will need:
Spray paint from walmart or any other hardware store
Torx 8 screwdriver which looks like this (might find one in your garage, or you can buy one off ebay for really cheap)

Stickers, you can find them off ebay, not really needed but can make your controller look even cooler :D

And thats all, now onto...

Step 2: Unscrewing the controller

First, using your torx 8 screwdriver, unscrew all the screws on the back of your controller, including the one behind the battery pack/serial code. The location of the screws are showed below by the red dots:
If you find this hard, please refer to step 5 where there is a video explaining how to do this.

Step 3: Taking off the case
Slowly take off the case carefully making sure that you do not lose or move any of the buttons as they fall out easily. Your xbox faceplate should now look like this:
Step 4: Spraying
First, get a sheet of old newspaper and lay it down on a flat surface, usually one which aren't bothered about messing up (not your kitchen table! :L) Lay your controller faceplate on the paper and any buttons that you wish to spray. Shake your can of spray paint and spray a coat of it evenly on the buttons/faceplate areas that you want colouring, then wait half an hour and spray it again, to give it more colour and less smudging. Let it dry for two hours.

Step 5: Putting your new coloured controller back together
Now, carefully put the buttons back in their selected areas and put the faceplate of it. If you find this step hard, this video below will explain what to do (ignore the 1st bit and skip to 3:30 if you have completed step 2)

Well done, you now have a controller even as cool as mine! :D

tips on custom classes on black ops

5 easy steps to be a great player on black ops

1. Combat Training
Combat TrainingThis is the most valuable way, barring the next point, to improve your game. Combat Training has most of the benefits of online multiplayer -- leveling, unlocks, money, etc. -- without one pesky element: other players screaming at you. Select a map, tweak some variables (skill level of A.I. bots, match length, etc.), and go play. The A.I. actually uses some decent tactics on its own and there's really no better way to learn map layouts, feel of the guns, and your favorite Perks before playing against real people. You can also invite friends into your session to practice some team coordination. Just keep in mind that the stuff you unlock and purchase in this mode is separate from actual multiplayer.
2. Instant Replay, aka Theater Mode
Instant Replay aka Theater ModeHere is another way for you to refine your game: Use the Theater mode to watch and analyze your performance. Theater mode stores full videos of every match you've played for the past seven days, allowing you full control of the camera to examine what actually happened when you turned the corner and got shot in the face. You can even view the playback from any player's perspective, including those of the best player on the map, so you can pick up a few pointers.

3. Don't Get Killed
Don't Get KilledIt may sound obvious, but this is the best advice someone can give you. In a majority of cases, you don't want to run right into a room, hallway, or around corners. Instead of rushing into battle look down your sights when you come across any of these sorts of areas and tread carefully. Sometimes being hesitant is the best way to stop your death streak. A lot of people tend to camp in certain places waiting for you and your teammates to run senselessly around the map. Unless you're to the point where you have equipped Lightweight and Marathon Perks, only run when you're in the open.

4. Plan Ahead
Science, Repair, and Lock PickingThink about what sort of situation or multiplayer modes you'll get yourself in and plan accordingly when creating your class. If you know you'll play tons of regular deathmatch, make a class that you love. Then create an additional class that nearly mimics it except for a few minor tweaks in the Perks area. So if you find that your enemies continually plant claymores around the map or love lobbing grenades a lot, you will want to have an additional class to combat this situation. The Flak Jacket and Hacker Perks help alleviate some of these problems.

Identify Your Style
5. Identify Your Style
Ask yourself what types of guns you prefer and if your Perks and gameplay style reflect that. If you like rocket launchers don't go nuts with an SMG. Do you prefer to camp but enjoying knifing people instead? You might want to consider ditching the camping aspects of your game. Every one of us has a comfort zone. It's up to you to find yours and stick with your strengths. Only later when you become more advanced in the game could you learn to adopt various playstyles.

Zombie Tips

General Strategies
  • When you start off, everybody needs to pick a window or general area and stay there. Don’t gank your friends zombies. Nobody likes THAT guy.
  • By the very nature of guarding a window, you’ll have your back to your teammates. Communication is key. Tell everybody whatever you’re doing when you’re doing it, and for godssakes, if a zombie gets through your window, tell a friend.
  • Get out of the main area after round four. If you wait any longer, the crappy starting weapons will send you to an early grave. The idea is to get the best weapons you can, as early as you can, to stay alive as long as possible.
  • Find the mystery box! It’s extremely important to get some better weapons as quickly as possible. If you can stay in that area for a round or two, even better.
  • Don’t place claymores and bouncing betty’s in front of the door you’re guarding. Put those behind you, so when you’re forced to back up because of an untimely reload, that bomb will protect your retreat and keep anything from sneaking up on you from behind.
  • In the later rounds, its vital to aim for the head. They take much more damage from head shots.
  • Save monkey bombs for when a teammate becomes downed. Throw the monkey bomb out to get the zombies off your tail and quickly revive the person.
  • If more than one person goes down, the one with the ray gun is top priority.
  • At the end of each round, keep one zombie alive, either by trapping it behind a barrier or let it chase you around. Then your other three teammates are free to go get new weapons or perks as needed.
  • Double Tap is a waste of money.
  • If you can only choose one, get quick reload over Juggernaut. Quick reload will keep zombies from ever touching you.
  • The person with the worst weapons must guard the window. Ideally, shotguns and pistols work great for keeping them at bay.
  • Never use a ray gun to guard a window, you’ll inevitably hit a plank, causing splash damage to the user.
  • Don’t stand close to the window you’re guarding. Zombies will reach through and smack you.
  • Go through portals one at a time. If you go into one together, you’ll both get downed and you’ll lose your perks.
  • Before grabbing a max ammo, make sure you don’t have any downed teammates, because they won’t get the max ammo if they’re down. Also, be courteous and make sure that ll of your teammates have reloaded to maximize the power up.
